This morning, I drank a laxative tea and 2 glasses of lemonade. My roomate and I decided to go for a 6 mile hike through Buffalo canyon. I brought 3 lemons, my juicer, a thermos with agave, and a sack of cayenne. I stopped twice to mix some "doubles". I had enough water and sunblock to fully enjoy the day. At 7pm, I've had probably around 9 glasses today, as it was my most active day of the cleanse. I felt AWESOME the whole time (as soon as I felt the least bit weak I mixed more).
After running some errands and GETTING HIRED (what what!), I came home to some folks who witnessed my passout. They all decided that because my body is trying to make more red blood cells from the change in elevation, I should at least ingest some protein, even in liquid form. Convinced, I spooned some organic soy protein powder into my glass. I really don't feel any different. I researched this addition to the cleanse and found that is a suggested supplement. I think I may add a serving of protein powder in at least one glass a day.
My only food cravings have been habitual. Like now, vegging out on the couch watching a movie, I am thinking of how I would really enjoy popping some popcorn with olive oil and salt and pepper. Also, my teeth have built up plaque and my breath is kickin' from the toxins coming out of my tongue. I also just watched some of A Beautiful Truth and all I can think about it the amount of mercury in my fillings.
Tonight I will drink some herbal tea with senna leaf, and one more glass while chillin on the couch. It's better to spend your energy outside all day than out socializing at night.
